5 All-New Models Arriving in 2026: Honda, Subaru, BMW, and More

Five 2026 models offer different answers for shoppers weighing daily driving, road trips and weekend adventures.

Acura’s electric RSX returns as a crossover rather than the coupe fans remember, with Ohio production and arrival targeted for the second half of 2026.

BMW’s Hungary-built iX3 aims to ease range anxiety with a projected 400-mile range and fast charging that BMW says could add up to 230 miles in 10 minutes.

For drivers not ready to plug in, Honda’s revived Prelude pairs coupe styling with a hybrid powertrain; its debut was targeted for late 2025, so check local inventory.

Rivian’s Illinois-built R2 promises a smaller, adventure-minded electric SUV, though its proposed sub-$50,000 starting price needs confirmation.

Subaru’s compact electric Uncharted offers projected range of about 300 miles in front-wheel-drive form, with pricing and dealership availability still worth checking.

With Tesla Roadster debut, Elon Musk shows "flying cars are real"

At a SpaceX facility near Waco on October 15, Tesla’s long-delayed Roadster raced up a ramp, launched into the air, rotated and landed on its wheels.

Elon Musk said ultra-high-pressure air tanks powered the leap, though he acknowledged the technology might not work as intended and projected production for 2028.

The dramatic Texas demonstration did not show a car carrying passengers or flying between destinations.

Tesla has not announced a price for a flying version, which is not approved for public road use.

Buyers can reserve a non-flying Roadster for $5,000, while the proposed Rocket model with a full flight system is invitation-only.

Regulatory questions remain: federal aviation officials say the Roadster as described does not qualify as an aircraft, leaving oversight of a production flying model unclear.

For Central Texans, the leap was a memorable spectacle, not yet a practical way to travel.
